Dan Henry Watch 1970 - Automatic

Here is a watch from my collection.

This one is a modern Dan Henry.  This one is a diver based on a Seiko movement.  It has a compressor style case.  Although I really prefer vintage and Swiss, I really liked the back.  I think that the difference between craftsmanship and just production is in the details.  The back shouldn't just be 'the back' on a watch or on jewelry.

Compressor Case with wonderful details.

These are from the sales catalogue.

Screw down for the movement.

The strap is very comfortable.  I'm unsure of the material, but I usually don't like rubber straps.

Construction Photos:

A billet of KOA that I brought back from the Big Island - $115 for this board.

There was a beautiful bend to the board, I decided to incorporate it into the design.

Peruvian Walnut for the - I don't know what that part is called - I wanna say arms.

New tooth in 18k gold

I didn't make this one!
A friend of mine did though.
In dental school they teach students the same basic skills to be a jeweler.  Same materials, tools, processes.

Pat in the Newspaper

This was a recent publication by the Daily Record.
They interviewed me and it was pretty fun!

Many of the other folks they interviewed are my friends.

I realize you can't read the article, but I also don't really have permission to 'reprint' it.  ;)
