Copper and Sterling Pendant

This one is just me goofing off.
I was teaching a basic soldering class at Gallery One and this was part of my Demo.

All of the colors are cupric oxides and products of combustion.  There is nothing here that was not left by the basic soldering process.  The whole piece was plunged into cold water while hot.  That is it.  It ends up fairly random.

I told my wife that it represents my burning love for her.

Mid-Century Style Sterling Pendant with Oregon Sunstone

Oxidized sterling, fine silver, and Oregon Sunstone.

It looks like the shapes I saw growing up.
The colors will continue to change over time.
Jeweling on the back.  Just a brush on the flex-shaft in a pattern.
It makes for an interesting effect.

Tissot Seastar Visodate 1970s - Automatic

Here is a watch from my collection.

This one is a Tissot from the late 1970s.  The dial has a great patina and I am trying to decide if I should polish the case or not.
Probably not. It seems disrespectful.  Most of these require some tinkering and oil.  It is pretty rewarding to get something this complicated moving again.  This one keeps excellent time.
