Here are a couple of vintage chair projects.
Adrian Pearsall Chair. Freshly reupholstered! This one is Circa 1968. We live in a 1964 house so this style fits. Plus I love it. |
It has a 'craft associates' tag and the original walnut frame is in good shape. |
The fabric is vintage. And this photo shows the vibrant colors. |
Someone had redone it in maybe the early 80's. |
no good.... I think. These were the craigslist photos. I think i paid like $135. But, then the fabric and labor so maybe $700 into it. |
Adrian Pearsall for Craft Assoc. Lounge Chair and Ottoman. This one is a 1964.
This is the original fabric and I liked it, but the foam was all crunchy. So we ordered Knoll fabric in red which is an appropriate material for the period. |
This is me playing around in photoshop to see what it would look like in the Knoll red. |
I briefly considered a cowhide. Es no bueno. |
I paid $195, and drove 3 hours to get it. Then fabric and labor. So I figure about $900 into the finished red version. |
Here is another work in progress..... |
