Sterling and Idaho Garnet

I've made maybe 5 or 6 pretty much just like this.   People seem to like it.  I've sold a few and given away a few.  I might wear this one.

This is a very good garnet, with a decent star,

This is in natural light.

This is the on my Mom has been wearing for 4 years.

Sterling Rings - Rutile Quartz and Moonstone

 These are a variation on my standard double-bezel design.  Rutilated Quartz and Moonstone down below.

The Birds of Alchemy

This is digital art based on a sketch I made during a meeting at work.  

 It is a commentary on the ancient philosophy.  The constellations are Leo, Libra and Scorpio.  The funny little mounds are Sulfur, Salt and Mercury.

Step One - Sketch

The crow has three legs.  There is a famous Japanese myth about a 3 legged crow.

Here is a watch from my collection.

This one is a S.C.I.D. 'special' from the 1890s.  The dial has a great patina.  The case is 9k and the inside of the case-back bears the marks of watch repairmen over the 130 years of its existence!

Solid Gold Case.

This is a very early Shields movement.

The Case is 9k and was made in Australia around the 1890s.  The movement is 15 Jewels and 'adjusted'.  It also has great perlage.  This was back when craftsmen made wonder objects for everyday use.
