Lego Cuckoo Clock

 

This is a project I made for the Gallery One resident artist's show in the fall of 2017.

It is based on the EV3 robotics platform.  The bird comes out about half way through the 2 minute video.

My Drawing as a 6 year old - and my Grandpa's 1942 drawing

I got this back recently.  It was a picture that I drew while in kindergarten and my mom mailed it to my uncle.  He saved it for some reason, which is kinda cool.

Around the same time I found a picture that my grandfather drew while he was in training for his role in WWII

The funny part is that I can still remember getting really frustrated because I couldn't get Mickey's left ear (on the right here) on his head correctly.  That was about 43 years ago and it came right back to me.  Stupid ear.  Stupid perspective.

These are drawings of how a gasoline motor works.  I think they are really pretty darn good.

This my standard dual bezel, side view.  I usually make the inner ring taller than the outer.

Chasing on the back to emulate the pattern in the stone.

Diamond and 14k gold

Champagne Diamond and 14k Gold

The Diamond is bezel set in an off-center configuration.

I like the rough texture that results from forging and letting the metal wander.

The larger one has reticulation in the background and a border ring.
